It would be great to have a giant wooden Advent wreath outside the house leading up to Christmas. Each week, a new light is turned on, reflecting the fact that the Star of Bethlehem is getting close and brighter, and that the moment of the Christ Child’s birth is more imminent! Then, on Christmas, and throughout the season, have a house all aglow, lit with tons of lights!  Let us, too, hope that our spiritual lives can model this – mini-Lent now, great rejoicing at Christmas!
